About the Event

Battle of the Barbelles is an all-female powerlifting competition built to celebrate, empower, and showcase women in strength sport.

Whether this is your first ever competition or you’re a seasoned lifter chasing big numbers, this platform is designed to give you a professional, supportive, and unforgettable competition experience.

Weigh-Ins

Saturday, 25th April 2026

Weigh-in 1: 10:00am – 11:00am

Weigh-in 2: 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Sunday, 26th April 2026

Weigh-in : 8:00am – 9:00am

Lifting begins: 10:00am

Final lifting schedule will be released closer to the event.

Federation & Rules

This is an IPO / AIPO sanctioned competition.

Federation Membership

Irish lifters: Must hold a valid 2026 IPO membership

Memberships cannot be purchased on the day.

All memberships must be active at least 10 days before the event

Travel & Spectators

On-street parking available outside the venue – €3 per day

🎥 Livestream will be available for those who cannot attend

although we encourage all lifting enthusiasts, families, and supporters to come and be part of the atmosphere.
